Health care activities for migrants (non-Japanese) living in Japan Currently, many non-Japanese people live in Japan. However, many of these individuals face difficulty in accessing healthcare institutions. Many non-Japanese residents cannot easily access healthcare institutions due to language barriers and because healthcare is very expensive for those non-Japanese residents who are uninsured. However, if healthcare is delayed, one’s condition worsens and subsequently required healthcare becomes more expensive. SHARE conducts activities to try to improve and increase healthcare access for such individuals.
